“… in a league whose forward-thinking gambles always seem to pay off, this one makes too much sense. Time for the owners to take the plunge and give this one a thumbs up. And no worries about the cold: hand warmers and heated seat cushions for everyone.
Time for the greatest single game in sports to be played on the greatest stage in the world.”
Bob Glauber, in Newsday on why the 2014 Super Bowl should be NJ/NY.

Wear extra socks then. It’s not like games have never been played in the cold before, people will deal with it like they always have, booze and lots of layers.

Sorry Bob, still hate the idea, and I’ll keep on hating it right until the final minute of the game.

I want the 2014 superbowl to be played in the new stadium too, but glauber downplayed the impact of the cold weather…for example, he forgot about the ice-cold ground…which always makes everyone’s feet go numb. there’s only so much that can be done about the cold…it will still be a problem.
