Jets license plates!?!? But…but…I just bought a car and got new plates! I need to call the MVC right away.

Cimini is really upping the ante on who is the worst reporter covering the Jets.

Just look at link and you can see, before even clicking, what it’s about.

To sum it up, the article says that instead of Mark Brunell as the “veteran backup and player/coach type role”, they could be looking at Jamarcus Russell.

Um………………………………..Cimini is officially too stupid to insult. I would hope that I don’t even have to type why saying Russell could replace Brunell as the Jets’ “veteran target” is just insultingly idiotic. Jamarcus is so bad I’d actually prefer Brunell (who I called “awful” yesterday, among other things) to him.

I also hear they were looking at Ryan Leaf.

Yes, that’s insane. Russell hasn’t nearly mastered the basics of recognizing blitzes and that’s an area Sanchez has reportedly put in a lot of work at.

I think Russell will get a job somewhere and haven’t ruled out him turning his career around in the right system (one where the receivers can catch would instantly improve his numbers from “historically awful” to “bad but no worse than guys like Clemens”), but this is not the place for him.

  5. avatar Brendan says:

I honestly believe Sanchez’s mental game is already superior to Russell’s. I agree that Russell still has a chance to turn his career around, but how does “former first overall pick, epic bust, project player” become a viable veteran QB to mentor Sanchez?

The Chris Henry link is linked to the the wrong article.
