  2. avatar Brendan says:

He hasn’t died yet he’s in critical condition.

  3. avatar ramble914 says:

He looks like he can play. He just needs a year under his belt to get used to the pro game, which is why I believe Slauson will start at LG and Ducasse will take over at RT next year.

Ayyye Im Back! The Kicks News Has Slowed Dow A Little So I gotta Check On My JETS!!!!
I Miss Anything besides Revis News?

  7. avatar Brendan says:

Why? This is Jets blog. I don’t want to see a celebration of the life of a convicted felon and all-around bad guy.

  8. avatar PIN says:

Vlad should be a good player
    Lets hope

    Brendan,

Back off! An all around bad guy? Not in my book, and not in a lot of fans either. I would love to see something on this blog about “The Boss”.

  10. avatar JesusRevis says:

    Brendan,

Thats harsh. Steinbrenner was great for the yankees, their fans, and for baseball. Rest in Peace to “The Boss”

  11. avatar Ryan M says:

    Mets fan brendan?

  12. avatar dmazz says:

I love the Jets just as much as any man on this earth but watching college videos of a lineman is worse than watching soccer.

  13. avatar Brendan says:

The only people who celebrate Steinbrenner are Yankees fans and other rich folks. Once an A-hole always an A-hole.

  14. avatar deuce4417 says:

jets blog not yankees blog. and lets face it george was an ass and an dick but did at ton for the yanks and baseball.

back to the green and white please

Ducasse looks decent to good against the outside move, but looks like he might struggle with the inside move. Is nice though to see that on every running play in that sequence he explodes through the defensive line, regardless of who he lined up against.

  16. avatar spentmiles says:

Can someone please spell his name out phonetically? I keep hearing “Dukakis” in my head.

  17. avatar Brendan says:

    Spent,

    Vladimir “dikas”

I have a friend from Haiti and I asked him when they drafted him, kid said this is the way to say it.

  18. avatar tish says:

Just one note of hesitancy on Ducasse. Pat Kirwan was less than enthusiastic about the kid during practice week at the senior bowl. However, that was Ducasse practicing against some very experienced and well-coached players from major schools and there is a big difference between playing outside and inside on the line. I still believe he will inevitably replace Woody who is getting on in years and makes quite a bit of change.

  19. avatar Ryan M says:

Tish, pat kirwin is a moron, he shouldn’t have a job

  20. avatar Harvlis says:

We have one of the best O-Line coaches in football, with Callahan. Ducasse will be just fine.

  21. avatar Brendan says:

Ding, Ding! Harvlis made the point that I (and many other posters) have been making since the draft. Bill Callahan is the premier Offensive Line coaches in the NFL. If he thinks Vlad can do it, then he most likely can. They wouldn’t risk putting someone there that couldn’t do the job, so Sanchez gets power bombed like Clemens did in NE a few years ago (athankyou Adrian Clarke).

  22. avatar Harvlis says:

    Brendan,

Slauson has been working under Callahan for many years. Watch him step in to LG and play like a seasoned veteran. He’s got the size, the demeanor, and the right coach.
