Though the T.O. to New York story got quite a bit of attention for much of the day, Adam Schefter put speculation to bed about three hours ago.
Filed to ESPN: Terrell Owens reached agreement with Bengals on a one-year, $2 million deal that includes another $2 million in incentives.
Ultimately, this is a good move for all parties involved. The Bengals get a playmate for Chad Ochocinco and the Jets don’t have to worry about any controversy that could have been.
Moving on … Who’s ready for training camp?

Revis loves him?
Well hed be a useless 4th WR, after week 4, who doesnt play special teams. I rather keep brad smith involved so Id stay away from getting LC. Hopefully the clown will actually learn how to play football.

The Jets are the only team that has a chance of handling both of them. I really hope Pool can prove to be a good player. I hope he doesn’t turn out to be TOO aggressive, that could be a problem because the CB’s aren’t going to make every single play themselves especially against teams that come in with two high powered WR’s. But it isn’t like we’re competing against the Bengals for the division, so no worries.
-
yes now we dont have to talk about this story now.
-
Aaron Glenn signed with the Texans in a retirement move. Dissapointing as he really is a Jet.
-
nick
Are you serious? He must still be upset about not being picked up in the expansion draft when he was dealt to the Texans.I always loved Glenn as a Jet and its dissapointing he chose them over us when the best years of his career was obviously as a Jet.
-
Should be interesting because that means Bryant will be their 3rd guy and Owens will be their number 2.Jets may be the only team in the NFL that can handle those WRs they have.
Revis obviously locked down OchoStinko last season and I trust Cromartie and Wilson can combine and shut out Owens.Bryant may be a problem, but he is hurt a lot and much older now so I trust Pool and Wilson can handle him.

best news i’ve herd all day!!!!

Im ready…me..me..me..me..me

BTW
Did anyone download the Madden 11 Demo yet?
Jets and Colts are the 2 teams in the demo and I must say,Madden 11 looks sick this year. They even allow you to play a full 5 minute game. One thing I got out of that Demo is that Greene and Edwards are a BEAST in Madden this year.Greene continues to pick up chunks of yards and break tackles while Edwards just continues to get Wide open due to teams not being able to defend him with Cotchery and Holmes on the field. One note though…Edwards does drop balls lol
-He dropped a few critical passes I threw to him that would have been 1st downs. -
In other words, TO’s agent (Rosenhaus?) widely leaked the Jets due diligence inquiry in order to get leverage in negotiations with the Bungles.
-
Thank heaven for small blessings..
-
Don’t forget Aaron Glenn played college ball for Texas A&M…Texas is home for #31.
-
did the blog format just change on me? whoa. metsbloggy.
-
yes it changed on me too. thank god they changed it to green from the blue and orange
-
The only thing I dislike about the new SNY blog theme is that I can’t figure out a way to click through to a “next post” or a “previous post” once I’m reading the comments.
-
That was too close for comfort…..I bet the Jets offered him the veterans minimum and all the Cheeto’s he could eat.
-
Not feeling the new layout. The site lost a lot of personality with the change
-
T.O should have let a few day’s pass to give the impression that the Jets were serious, LOL…
-
Confusous say a meathead do what a meathead do…LOL..
-
What happened to the side bar that shows all of the articles from the News, Post, etc
-
Guys don’t forget this new layout is just being put up, I’m sure things will get straightened out as the week moves on.
-
Mobile jets blog looks like the knicks blog not like the metsblog
-
i miss the old format lol. i’m starting to get used to this on metsblog tho so i can get used to it here. just wish i could go between posts from the full version of each articel.

I see we can add pictures to our name??

what mobile set? my iphone goes straight to this normal one
-
Appreciate the effort in trying something new; but definitely preferred TJB the way it was…either way, tho, what really counts is that you and the fine contributors provide, by far, the best content on the net!
J E T S…JETS, JETS, JETS!
-
agree about the content. im sure we will all get used to this layout.
-
-
Not feeling the redesign. The threaded comments are money though.
-
Basset- just noticed your page is linked to the FB link. Maybe a jetsblog facebook site?
I also noticed you are friends with vernon gholston… really?
-
I like the New design, and the new feature where we can reply to ppl’s comments.
-
Bassett can you tone down the white background it’s killing my eyes. I liked the old site where you can see the new posts for the different threads.
-
new posts = recent comments

I think T.O. is a good fit for the Bengals…..our line up looks great….training camp will help everyone adjust and work together….looking forward to a great season..The new format will take some getting used to …as I really favored the old format….but I love being informed and appreciate the blog….JETS!! JETS!! JETS!!!

Bassett—
Manish is saying that the Jets will work out Brunell on Wednesday.
-
I’m down with the new format. And ready for training camp
-
Sorry , but there is just too much white. I prefer the old format. Can you get us a deal on some NYJ sunglasses so that we can read the replies better? At 4:00am its a wakeup.
-
Added good feature functionality but took a huge hit with appearance and personality. Lost a lot of vibe!
-
Anyway to add a column on left for more content?
This site feels as sterile and drab as an operating room, whereas it used to feel like a Jets themed man cave! Inviting to all Jets fans. Now it feels like it is designed more for reporters in a writing class.
-
agreed

I’m old and eaisly confused by new things. Is this still the way to reply?

What about Coles. Tanny should sign him for the minimum. He’d be a great fourth wr at this point in his career and can fill in while Holmes is out. At the very least he’s worth the risk if he’ll sign on the cheap. Plus Revis loves him and anything will help out at this point in those negotiations.
