the oldest running back trick is to drop cookies as you run so the d-linemen bend down to pick them up, and thats how you have a breakout run. (if you watch the Greene run against the charges you’ll see he was dropping double-stuff oreo’s, he dropped a pic of a women for CRO)

since biggy J will be so full from cookies since thats all hes been eating for the past few months he wont be distracted and will end up stopping the RB for a loss

weight loss = yardage loss for opposing RB’s

i simply cannot get enough of Big Jinx. I hope he has a couple years left…but when his playing days are done, he needs to be on TV. He is the man

I hope he stays with the Jets in some capacity (if he wants to coach or consult) when his playing days are over because very few defensive lineman of his bulk have the technique he does. He’s almost technically flawless, and he would be a huge asset if he was held onto in some form to tutor young linemen on proper line play.

i would love for Big Jinx to stick around in a football capacity. But he just doesnt strike me as the type of guy who would be willing to grind out 80-100 hour weeks as a coach. Maybe he could be a consultant. He actually is a great cook…i could see him as a TV personality “cooking with big Jinx” that would be a show i would actually watch. it is weird because you always heard of him being a bad apple in his Carolina days, but that couldnt be farther from the truth with the jets. this team is full of likeable guys, and he is right at the top for me

Yeah, I remember during one of the pre-draft threads Bent posted a scouting report talking about Jenks’ character (with his name removed) to show that not everything you read is the truth. It had something about Jenks getting into a fight because someone attacked his brother (and who, in their right mind, would pick a fight with Big Jenks brother? I never found out if that ‘brother’ was Cullen Jenkins, which would mean that dude picked a fight with nearly 700 pounds of Jenks) and everyone questioned his character.

But I agree, since he’s arrived Jenks has been personable, friendly, a great leader and an instant fan favorite. It’s funny how one team’s garbage is another team’s gold, but that’s exactly what Jenks is.

Are you sure that was me? I mean, it sounds like the sort of thing I would do, but I honestly don’t remember that!

agree brian- I can definitely see kris jenkins doing TV after his career is done. Expect to see him on the NFL Network, didnt he do a little work during the combine with them?
