Michael Salfino writes on SNY.tv that while the football world might be sick of the Jets, and Jetlash seems to be gripping the land … he has a simple message … to the doubters like Don Banks of SI and Michael Hurley of NESN and whoever else will listen … deal with it, non-Jet fans.
The roster is built to win now. But this is not an old team. The core is Darrelle Revis, Mark Sanchez, D’Brickashaw Ferguson, Nick Mangold, David Harris, Shonn Greene and, OK, Kris Jenkins. One of those guys — Jenkins — is old. You can’t find a younger core group in the NFL — or a better one.
The win-now move was what? LaDainian Tomlinson? Please. Tomlinson is a spare part who will get some glory on the goal line and contribute as a third-down guy as rookie halfback Joe McKnight spends the year developing some blitz recognition. But Tomlinson’s leveraged impact on wins and losses this year will be inconsequential.

Bent says: If you read the article, he was very dismissive of the Jets organization saying that they had basically gone “all in” in an effort to win now, as if the whole thing was just an elaborate set-up to bash them later.

Electric, Like Bent said that was a total back handed compliment. He even stated that he only ranked them #1 to add to the pressure on them (presumably in hopes that it all adds up to ruin their season).
We’ll all be better off not talking to any non-Jets fans this season cuz I’ve never seen such hate for any team. Now even the guys picking us are only doing it to hurt us lol.
Plus they’re sittin there sayin what is it with these guys? If we don’t pick them they’re mad, and if we do pick them they’re mad, as if they were being sincere. It’s a joke, let’s just stick together til Feb.
No doubt. This team is in a position to contend every year for a number of years to come. Obviously we want the big prize sooner than later. Also let’s not forget Cotchery, Keller and Wilson (who everyone agrees will be the real deal). And the survivor of Edwards-Holmes.
