KELLEN CLEMEMS: IVE BEEN CHEETED BEEN MISTREATED WHEN WILL I BE LOVED…..CLEMONS MADE THE QUIK DECISIONS WITH BALL HE UNDERSTANDS THE OFFENCE BETTER THAN THE TWO MARKS…

  2. Too bad O’Connell didn’t find that out before he was cut, they could have put him on IR.

  3. Had an unfortunate experience reading yahoo sports article on contracts. Please tell me their writers don’t get paid, cause the lack of professionalism is unprecedented. He was making Champ Baily contract look like 13 mil a year (actual 7 years $63mil), implying Aso will get all the money on his 3 year contract, and stating that Peyton will give Colts a discount signing for $25. Where does he think future cap will be if average salary increase over this year will be 60-70%. I wonder how much one gets paid for writing crap like that and how can i land a gig like that.

The Brunell situation is pretty sad.

Sounds like Brunell got some very bad advice. Seems like he could have structured his investments through an LLC or corporation and avoided personal liability. Lots of real estate investments failed in the last few years. Rarely do they result in personal bankruptcies of millionaires.

If I remember correctly the debts are from an LLC he was in with several other former Jaguars, but for some reason he personally guaranteed some of the loans. My guess is that some folks took advantage of the fact that he’s a nice guy.

Seriously though, if ever someone gave the Sanchize a great lesson in playing well through distractions, that was it. Brunell was in bankruptcy court the day before his first start on a team he’s been with for all of a month, knowing that his job and whether or not he gets paid anything this year might ride on how well he plays? And then he plays well?

    FUMBLE!!!!!

Thats all I took out of last nights game.

    • avatar Bent says:

That’s all you got? Other than the fumbles, the Jets absolutely dominated, with basically twice as much yardage and time of possession.

Holmes’ fumble was a bit disconcerting, but two of the fumbles were freak plays (Hunter tripped Conner and Ducasse knocked the ball out of McKnight’s hands). The other came because Dan Gay got beaten and he won’t be on the team.

I love the Bollinger Bowl. Hands down, my favorite game of the year, because there’s no pressure and no injury worries.

Talking to my old roommate (my one-stop-shop for all things Steelers) last night, he told me that Holmes will make mistakes like this. He’ll have the occasional bone-head play, but he more than makes up for it with his spectacular catches.

Does anyone remember the Jets pre-season record of a year ago? I know I don’t.
