Richardson to Return
FLORHAM PARK–I confirmed through several sources that Tony Richardson is going to be re-signed by the team. No specifics on when.

If true, don’t know why they released him unless it had something to do with the trade they where going to make if Revis hadn’t signed.

What TRADE?????
-
I think someone in the FO said that they were exploring trading for CB help if Revis didn’t show up. No names were mentioned I don’t think

Cimini says his source confirmed T-Rich will be signed before Monday Night Football. They’re not trying to pull anything with not guaranteeing his contract like many (me included) expected. This was just some roster maneuvering. Good to see that this wasn’t a case of the Jets trying to save a few bucks at the expense of a great relationship with a solid team-first guy.

Confirmed from a source that Tony Richardson will definitely be back with #Jets BEFORE Wk 1 MNF vs Ravens -
Hahaha take a look

This is awesome news! Now let’s go eat a god damn snack!! Also win some championships maybe.
-
Yay! Lolz at Private Jet
-
Make it happen the best cornerback trio ever.
On Revis Island, there is Al”Cro”traz with Warden Wilson

This is good news, especially after seeing how Ryan felt about Richardson on Hard Knocks. It would have been unsettling to know that one of Ryan’s “guys” wasn’t going to be on the team because of guaranteed money. I don’t know how much he actually will help on the field, but he deserves to be on the roster because he can continue to guide Conner and he can be a leader for the offense. Losing Jones and Richardson could have made for a disastrous start for the offense this season.

I’ll feel better when it’s final and he’s back on the field, but at least the reports are encouraging. Cutting him annoyed me more than any other move they made this offseason so they better get it reversed soon.

I hope this is true. The loss of Jones and Faneca has already been felt in the locker room. T-Rich’s leadership, not to mention his blocking and experience, will be needed.
Now cut McKnight and bring back C. Washington.
-
Would if Richardson holds out for more money?
-
The original PFT article speculated that he was cut because he would become a free agent and couldn’t be claimed by a team because he’s a vet. Veterans with a certain number of years experience don’t have to go through the waiver wire process.
If that’s true, I hope they give him a little salary bump. It would be a classy thing to do..

I WON’T BE HAPPY UNTIL:
Despite all my glee and all my drooling over what will surely be great Jets secondary play, I will not be TRULY HAPPY and SATISFIED until WEEK FIVE when we get our first shot at seeing –
Darrelle Revis vs. Santonio Holmes!!!
THE RUMBLE ON THE ISLAND!!!
Godzilla vs. Rodan!!!
The Shutdown vs. The Uncoverable!
THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!!!! The Vikes that week are only extra candy after what will take place in practice that week! Yeowwwwsirrrr!

When I heard they released him I read over an awesome article SI wrote about him I think two volumes back…Every Jet fan should read it

Revis Island….Alcrotraz…and Wiiiilllllssssooonnn! The ball befriended by Tom Hanks in Cast Away lol
-
I was thinking more along the lines of Revis Is The Island, Alcrotraz Is The Prison, and Wilson Is The Warden.

I just got off the phone with my agent. We are dropping the demand for $16.00 per hour and accepting Home Depot’s offer of $11.50 per hour. With Revis ending his holdout I didn’t want anyone thinking I was greedy, LOL.
-
that’s a fair deal…did they give you the 32 hours A week guaranteed with the option to make up to 46 hours with overtime?
-
-
alot of good news…no showering until next Tuesday…lol
-
Revis Island leads to Cast Away” Wilson” to be locked up in Alcrotraz lol

SO glad they are bring TRich back. I would have felt like he got a raw deal for all he is worth if they didn’t. Good stuff!

The old man’s getting a week’s vacation for Labor day. Good to hear the club has a heart ;-)
