On how his hamstring feels and how it felt today in practice…
It feels a lot better. It feels good. I’ve been out there practicing for the last couple of days. Practice is intense and I took all of the reps. I’m feeling good, I’m taking it day-by-day and (we’ll) go from there.
On if he’s waiting to tell Coach Ryan that he can play…
(Laughing) We’ve had numerous talks on the field, a couple of conversation. He just said let’s have fun and let’s play. We didn’t get too deep into if I was going to play this week. I think the coaching staff, the trainers and me are just taking it day-by-day to see how I feel. I’ve been feeling good the past couple of days. Hamstring (injuries), they can come back as soon as possible, so I just have to keep on strengthening my hamstring and improving every day.
On whether he could play right now …
Yeah, I think I could play right now. There (is) no doubt.
On if his current health bodes well for playing Monday night…
I think so. I think if it stays. I haven’t had any tweaks when I’ve been out there running the past two practices and I’ve been running full speed. They’ve been monitoring me every step of the way, just to make sure there are no tweaks or pulls in my hamstring. As of today, if I can play, I would go out there and play.
On if he’s worried about a setback and that is why he has not definitely said he is playing Monday…
I think, right now, we’re just being cautious with every step I take out there. Every time I’m out there just practicing in drills, running routes and covering receivers, I think we’re just monitoring it the best way we can. Like I said, I can practice tomorrow at full speed and can pull it again. I think we’re just trying to be very cautious about this whole situation.
On whether he will wait until Monday to decide if he is playing…
I think that’s the best bet for me, to just take it day-by-day and wait until maybe Sunday (or) even Monday to talk to coach and let those guys know. As of right now, I’m preparing myself to battle against the Minnesota Vikings (laughs).

Man, I’m sick of Revis.

Dude, don’t play until green bay. Get a few reps in maybe in denver. Why roll the dice on the entire season? If we make the playoffs we will not go too far without a healthy Revis.
-
That’s what you get for holding out all training camp…he better be back for Mondays game.
-
If I was the Vikings, whoever Revis lined up with, I’d send them streaking down the field, as fast as they could sprint, every single time.
-
If it really was 100% he would not be waiting until Sunday, unless is it gamesmanship.
If its not 100% sit this game out, not worth it, this one game will not make or break the season.

Troy Palumalo (Sp) would play and would be a beast doing it.

stop killing this guy because we all know the “man love” will be back on as soo as he’s back in Revis form and taking away one side of the field. We havn’t even come close to seeing that Revis yet. There is no denying we need him to make it to the Superbowl.

Mevis has accomplished what he set out for by holding out…he will be the highest paid corner this year based on salary and games played….

I had the same thought. Revis’ slight pull of a hamstring seems to be unique in the annals of all sports, nor just football. Pro athletes have had severe hamstring pulls (not just slight tightening) and gotten over it in shorter time. Some of us non-pros have had hamstring pulls and even now a little about it. A hammy is not a knee, a severe concussion or a heart murmur. The Revis hammy seems to have been blown way out of proportion.
Also waiting until you feel 100% is no guarantee you will not pull it again. The sad truth is you can pull a hamstring ANY TIME, even if he sat out the whole season.
Although I’m a strong Rex supporter, I think he’s looking weak in saying he doesn’t know if Revis has decided that he will play. Rex should meet with Revis and then Rex should announce it to the media. Who’s the coach, Revis? No player should be bigger than the team. Enough already!

Can we just trade this selfish player? Let’s get something of value for him before the trade deadline. He’s going to to be in and out of the line up this year with this hammy. He used to be my favorite player

I don’t think Revis will make the Pro Bowl this year based on on the field stats, but he will be the highest paid CB on a per game basis.

this guy really is being hard to like these days.
