There’s not much we can do or say that will make this any better. We played like two different teams from one half to the next. It was so easy to romanticize about this teams story. From Hard Knocks, to dramatic wins in the regular season, to defeating NFL juggernauts Peyton and Brady and their resumes. Watching and loving Rex and then most of all, Dennis Byrd. Had we went on to win, it’s funny but I would have thought of him before any active player.

I Love Our Jets and I came to work with my Jets ‘light’ jacket on, so I can wear it all day.

    J E T S – Jets Jets Jets.

It sucks, but keep your chins high, as the fan base we’re now playing and representing our team.

The jets D was on the field too long to start the game… The were showing all the symptoms of cold hands – they were in the steelers backfield on every play but could not grab and hold on to bring Mendenhall down. Then three and out – with no time to warm up hands.

I love this team. We had a terrible first half, but they battled back in the 2nd with a hell of a lot of heart for a team down 24 on the road. After years of the Jets going 3-13, 1-15, 7-9, this has been the most memorable season I have experienced in my 24 years as a fan. There only can be one winner, and the Jets making the final 4 without Jenkins, Leonhard, a real left tackle is impressive. We have our franchise QB, HB, CBs and head coach. Hang in there guys, one year very soon, we will have that trophy.

    Keep the faith alive.

  5. As fans we support ALL of the players, but removing the rose colored glasses we must acknowledge that Rex will have to make some changes not readily apparent.

For example, why does this team start notoriously slow? Rex stokes them up using emotion, but they need additional aggression from within (besides Bart Scott); players to put this team on their back and run with it. Thinking back to Hard Knocks this was a concern Rex had after letting emotional leaders Thomas Jones & Alan Faneca go due to waning skills.

While not a Schotty “hater,”, I’m not a supporter either. We can do better. He does not get the max out of his talent and does nothing to motivate his “O” players & get them ready to start fast. Do we fire all our “O” players or change the coach? Sorry, but it’s a no brainer.

Some Schotty transgressions last night are slow start (yet again), failure to get calls to Sanchez in a timely manner, his pass calls on 1st and goal in the 3rd Q, etc. It’s not the first game that Sanchez has looked to him in frustration waiting for a call. – I’d also like to know who was arguing with Schotty over his calls on that key series (Callahan?).

Rex has done a great job getting this far two years in a row with some non-Rex type players remaining from the Mangini regime, but we still have some glaring needs: bigger “D” lineman (rushers), LB’s that can cover, Safety, CB, etc.

After all of the anti-Jets articles by Cimini this year, I’m sure he had a smile on his face. F Him!
