Marcus Dixon on Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel Tonight

Jets DL Marcus Dixon will be included in a segment on HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel on Tuesday November, 22nd (10:00-11:00PM ET/PT).  Dixon is the subject of Real Sports because of the controversial imprisonment of him as a younger man – at which time Real Sports reported on his case, and which has followed his progress since then. In this week’s segment, Gumbel reconnects with the 27-year-old Dixon, who has thrived since his release from prison.

    Marcus, you truly inspire me! I have six nephews and four grandsons age range from 1yr- 17yrs. I am planning a boys night so that we can all watch your story. Thank you, I am extremely gratefully for you and your parents! Oh yes, now 2 people will have your jersey :)

    Marcus, your story is very uplifting! I am happy to here that justice was served in your favor. You have come along way and I will promise to follow your career and your progression in life. I can relate to your story because my upbringing was very trying, but today I am as well as ever even through all the adversity. Good luck to you and your family.

    What a great story about Marcus Dixon. I can’t believe in this day and age we still have bigots and District Attorney’s with no common sense. The DA on the Real Sports episode truly epitomizes an ignorant, classless individual. The scary part is I’m sure he believes he’s a Christian.

    I just watched your story on Real Sports. I was moved to tears. It’s hard for me to understand the injustice that people face in the south. Being a white, 50yr old male from Massachusetts, I have not had to live under such prejustice. I am so happy for your success both on and off of the field. Though I am a diehard Pats fan, I am now a Marcus Dixon fan. Much success and happiness to you and your family.

    I just wept and wept and wept and wept. For Marcus, for his noble parents and for the spite and malice that could have derailed Marcus’ life. I’m glad he’s going back to live in Rome where the can see him every day.

    dearest marcus, I am a mom and a greatgrand mom and i would be proud to call you part of my family. your parents did a great job raising you but now it’s your turn to shine. I send all my love to you and I will include you in daily prayers for my boys. rember you must pay it forward and give a hand up to some else who needs it. with prayers, toni ps i’m going to get a #94 jersey also.
