Their Previous Meeting: The last time these two teams met, the Jets level of ineptitude was at an all time high. Into their second season under head coach Eric Mangini, Chad Pennington and Kellen Clemens were swapped around like a carousel and the team itself, to put it bluntly, was in complete shambles as they took on the equally struggling Chiefs in their final regular season game. New York struck first on a 15-yard run by current Chief Thomas Jones followed by a Mike Nugent field before the end of the first half. The Chiefs added a field goal prior to the half as well. THE Brodie Croyle tied the game in the four quarter completing a 26-yard pass to Jeff Webb. However, the stumbling and bumbling Jets prevailed in overtime as Mike Nugent nailed a 43-yard field goal to give the Jets their fourth win of the season.

Regardless, consistency is the key to the Jets’ success and as they showed against Washington, good things happen when they’re consistent and bad things happen when they decide to take a intermission that last longer than the amount of time in halftime!

KE is a rook. Things dont happen overnight. I know the jets were not happy with him last week, but the best is yet to come from him. The NFl is not college where you can get by on just raw talent. The NFL you need technique also and it only comes with time and experience except in very rare cases. He will be a huge force for the line, just let him learn.

Complicated situation. Denver holds multiple for breakers against us so they are a big threat. We need then to win their division because Oakland has 1 less toe breaker against is than Denver (conference record). Obviously both teams have the head to head against us, but Denver has a great conference record and we are 6-5.
But let’s just hope that Oakland loses to Green Bay and Denver’s luck runs out.

Good win, and great luck in the other games- I think the prospect of getting into the playoffs even with one more loss is back in play after this, though obviously running the table is the more likely playoff scenario.
Losing Leonard is the one black mark on the day, and it’s a big one. The Jets are now super-thin in the back end, and Poole has missed too many assignments for comfort.
