Sorry, but I want no part of a Peyton Manning who’s had 2 neck surgeries and hasn’t even come close to playing all season. Last thing we need is for an HOF QB to get paralyzed playing behind that suspect O-line.

The selection of Mark Barron in the first round is nothing but a joke. Yeah, their going to draft Mark Barron and let T.Richardson slip through the hands of a team who’s bread and butter is the running game. Not to mention passing of DeCastro the OL who is projected by GBN in their mock as a top 10 pick. Sorry but Banks holds no credibility with me.

Yeah, Barron leads a somewhat lackluster Safety crop; I’d prefer us to draft a higher impact player. I can’t envision a scenario where both Richardson and DeCastro get by us, so, if that’s the case and Ingram is off the board, I’d love to get Mercilus. I didn’t realize he led the NCAA in sacks and forced fumbles — that’s exactly what we need. It would be even better if we could trade back a little, pick up an extra pick (say, a 3rd), and still draft him.

Meant to say I don’t envision a scenario where Richardson and DeCastro even fall to us, let alone get by.

People overstate his success at Rutgers. He had been there 11 years, they still play a creampuff schedule and have never won the mediocre Big East conference.
This is nothing more thanpiling on with the anti-Rex drivel.

I thought I was gonna hear some good insight on why Peyton should come here, I was a wish list based on Mannings resume.

No one wants dignity and class. We want wins, something Rex has given us a lot of, and something Schiano isn’t very good at.
Also, that SI Mock draft is the dumbest thing I’ve seen.

No point in drafting Richardson if we don’t fix the OL, and if we do fix the OL, we won’t need to draft him because Shonn Green will be fine. There’s also no point signing Manning if we don’t fix the OL, and if we do fix the OL, then we won’t need to sign him because MS will be fine.
Nothing else matters offensively if we don’t fix the line. And the way I see it, they (the FO) better be planning on 3 possible replacements, 2 definitely. Slauson, Hunter, and Moore. Moore because he is 31 and coming off hip surgery, Slauson because he sucks, and Hunter because he also sucks! I hope we can get Carl Nicks in FA, and draft a good RT in the 2nd round. First round should be Upshaw or Mercilus. Just my thoughts.

Rex alluded to winning the SB in a veiled way, but he managed not to say Super Bowl. Not sure how scripted the interview was, but got to give Rex some credit. Hopefully he’s maturing as an NFL coach.
