Roster News: Jets Re-Sign Patrick Turner

by Bent on February 7th, 2012 at 7:25 pm

Multiple sources are reporting that the Jets have re-signed free agent wide receiver Patrick Turner on a one-year contract. Manish reported that the base salary was $665,000, however Jason from nyjetscap.com reported yesterday that he received a $250,000 signing bonus. EDIT:Cimini confirms that this is in addition to the $665,000 reported by Manish and others, although there’s a slight discrepancy in terms of workout bonus.

The signing bonus is important because it represents guaranteed money that will still count against the cap if he’s cut. I’d say that’s a good sign they’re happy with him as a low-cost 4th or 5th option, although $250,000 wouldn’t be a big enough sum to guarantee him a roster spot if the likes of Michael Campbell and Logan Payne outperform him in camp.

The Jets can re-sign their own free agents at this time, but free agency doesn’t open until March 13th.

  1. avatar Johnny Reefer says:

They seemed very high on Payne during the preseason.

I wonder if he could perform.

    • avatar Bent says:

I couldn’t tell you – they MUST be high on him to keep him on the roster when he seemed to have such a slim chance of contributing, but all the preseason showed us was that he’s a competent blocker and possible special teams contributor. I think they threw to him once down the seam and it went through his hands on a diving catch attempt.

Then again, if they’re that high on him why guarantee Turner any money?

Wouldn’t be surprised if these guys are already pencilled in as the 4 and 5, with Holmes and Kerley obviously taking two of the top three spots.

      • avatar Led says:

What about Riley? I had hoped he might start to develop some polish to match his timed speed.

        • avatar Bent says:

Longshot, but you never know. He had a MONSTER preseason last year, so if he replicates that, he’ll DEFINITELY cause some interesting discussions around here.

  2. avatar Tom in Raleigh says:

I am okay with this. The kid is big, and one would assume that with their history, he gives Chez someone that he is comfortable throwing to.

  3. avatar juunit says:

I’m still looking for two new WRs. Three if Burress isn’t back.

  4. avatar Johnny Reefer says:

What I think they need to do for WR, if we do decide to keep Sanchez for awhile, is to draft some young WRs, so they grow with Sanchez. Then all these FA signings.

Then all they know is Sanchez, and can’t b**tch he isn’t Peyton Manning.

  5. avatar Brendan says:

Fair price, player with possible upside.

    • avatar Johnny Reefer says:

No, no, I’m fine with Turner.

My bad, i was already preparing for the “we need to sign so and so to be good” posts by everyone.

    • avatar Bent says:

It’s an obvious compromise – he was an RFA, but wasn’t going to be worth the minimum tender (about a million), but could probably get above minimum on the open market. So, they lock him up now, meet him somewhere in the middle and agree to pay some upfront.

      Smart business.

Sparano drafted Turner, so maybe he can harness the blocking potential he showed early in the year and mitigate the inconsistent blocking he showed in the middle part of the season. As a pass catcher, he definitely improved over the last couple of years, but I don’t know how close he is to his ceiling.

      • avatar Johnny Reefer says:

I hope he worked with Plax alot this year, to learn out to move his body in the RED ZONE.

I could see him replacing Plax’s red zone abilities.

        • avatar Bent says:

          I’ll take the under.

          • avatar Johnny Reefer says:

i just remember when Miami drafted him, they said a lot of how he could be used well in the Red Zone. He never really had a chance too, prolly wont either, but its not that hard to catch a 2 yard pass when you have 4 inches on the defender.

          • avatar Led says:

Me too. Plax is a couple inches taller, has ridiculously long arms, great body control and exceptional hands in traffic. I don’t think he’s got enough speed anymore to be a #2, but man he is a red zone monster.

  6. avatar mataos says: January 18, 2012 at 7:10 pm "I don't buy it" says:

Good move, one less thing (WR depth) to worry about.

  7. avatar BKLYNFan says:

Good size, tall. I wouldn’t mind seeing him play some more.

  8. avatar GatoGrande says:

Look what this clown Jeff Diamond from SI.com said the Jets needs are heading into the offseason:

Team Needs: WR, RB, S. The Jets unraveled with three straight losses to end the season, and Rex Ryan needs to clean up the locker room disharmony. Mark Sanchez was a focal point of that discord, and new offensive coordinator Tony Sparano is charged with getting Sanchez back on track after a season with 18 interceptions. Unless Peyton joins the Jets (doubt that would be his team of choice if free), it’s Sanchez’s team, and the Jets will try to find a young, speed receiver via the draft or free agency to help him. LaDainian Tomlinson is probably done in New York, so the Jets will add a young RB to compete with Shonn Greene and aid the 22nd-ranked rushing attack. The defense ranked fifth and is solid, but the Jets may draft a bigger safety.

    1. WR isn’t the first area that needs to be addressed

    2. How bout adding a pass rusher

    3. This guy clearly didn’t watch any Jets games this year because how could you leave out finding a replacement for Wayne Hunter

    4. Safety needs to be addressed before both WR and RB

  9. avatar Marvel says:

    I like Turner, so ok.

I still say if Trent Richardson is gone we go Floyd. Rex can handle/get production from 3rd round beyond/udfa talent, that’s what makes him a good coach. If Sanchez is the guy, I’m not as confident, so I want the best players around him.

Throw Rex a bone in the draft (2nd or 3rd round/Curry or Irvin), give him a FA S & just focus on making Sanchez better. Improve OL/WR/RB, sounds like a lot, but take it one pick/signing at a time I guess.

  10. avatar karl hungus says:

I would argue the position of most need is OL, followed by LB, S, TE, WR….

Everything we want to do as a team is based on the running game, and exceptional OL play. That must be the priority, fix that and most everything else on offense will fall into place. WR are fairly easy to find….I wouldnt draft one early unless he was head and shoulders above everyone else on the board…

On D, we obviously need LB and S help, and possibly another DL/DT for the rotation……

  11. avatar GatoGrande says:

not gonna disagree with you Karl. OL is VERY important and should be a top priority especially after watching Wayne Hunter (aka the human piece of looseleaf paper) for 16 games. Get a dominant pass rusher, address safety and LB and then take on the rest

  12. avatar Daniel Krauss says:

I know its random and off topic but Aaro Rodgers accused the GMen faking injuries against them in the playoffs.

  13. avatar elmoron says:

Just for discussion sake, I’m curious what Bent thinks the value of Sanchez would be in terms of future draft pick(s), especially in light of his existing contract which I believe to be around $9 mil this year?

    • avatar Daniel Krauss says:

      Cinci’s 1st 2 1st rd picks + Dalton

      • avatar elmoron says:

I don’t think Mark would command that at this point.

      • avatar joeyboy79 says:

        Are you kidding?

        • avatar Daniel Krauss says:

          Yes I’m joking

          • avatar elmoron says:

What about straight up for Jacksonville’s #7? Gabbert didn’t look good at all, they don’t have a shot at Luck or Griffin (nor Tannehill for that matter), plus they’re likely be moving to LA in a couple of years.

          • avatar joeyboy79 says:

Thank God! Today there have some wild posts, lately I dont know what to believe! Reefer man had a post earlier that I thought his wheels came right off the track!

            • avatar joeyboy79 says:

My last post was for Daniel.

            • avatar joeyboy79 says:

In dedication of all the faithful Jets fans who had a difficult time today. I dedicate a poem to wrap up this very difficult and traumatic day. Some of the posts today were clearly cries of agitation, despair and frustration with our season and then being caped of with a big Blue parade. Here goes:

The day started out sunny and bright, but was not a pleasant sight. The streets were crowded in blue as once again, the jet fans got the screw. We still hold our heads high, knowing that next season we will fly. Today we still wear our jets gear proud, even if we are not loud.

The day has now finally come to an end, as rest is now our best friend. We now lay our heads down with an exhausted frown. As we fall into a peaceful sleep we no longer weep, but dream of a new winning tomorrow that is free from sorrow.

Peace Jets Brothers, our day will come!

            • avatar Jon Presser says:

It was painfully obvious that Johnny Reefer’s post in the other thread was blatant sarcasm. It’s unfathomable that it wasn’t picked up on by nearly everyone who commented on it.

  14. avatar Rusty sanchez says:

Patrick turner made a couple big receptions for usthis year including the 4th and 17 against Denver to keep outlast drive alive he played at usc with Sanchez plus has great size can someone tell me why he doesn’t get more targets??? Is it lack of speed bad route running or jus not on the field enough??

  15. avatar Jets babyyy says:

So when does FA start and when will we see teams clearing up cap space?

I think when that happens and we do the same to get our needs. That’s when will know what the Jets will do in the draft, now I like Meachem he can open the field lol.

  16. avatar Rusty sanchez says:

Off topic is the draft on Thursday night again? Plus if it is did anyone go last year on Thursday and what would be a good time to show up to radio city to guarantee getting in???

  17. avatar Damion says:

they draft use to be the s*** but now its crazy haven’t been since the new format might have to go this war but I have a pretty good WAR set up in the basement here plus no a**hole giant fans.

S Mark Barron is still my number one pick if the big passrushers like Ingram and Still are off the board.

  18. avatar Enzo says:

I hope the Jets take a look at Braylon Edwards again. That guy stretched the field, made some clutch catches, and had GREAT chemistry with Sanchez. And lets not forget that he wanted to stay here and the fans love him.

    Bring him back Tanny!

    • avatar Tom in Raleigh says:

I would have loved to have seen him kept last year (though I fear our results would have been similar) I am not all that excited about the prospect of bringing him back off of a knee injury. Time to move on.

  19. avatar Massive says:

Off-topic, but if Knowshon Moreno gets cut, do we look for him as a replacement for LT? I think he would come cheap and give us a better backfield, strengthening our ground and pound identity.

Also, I would like to see us draft Derek Wolfe out of Cincy. He’d be a good DL to have, and we can get him in the 4th round.

But I like the Patrick Turner signing. Keeping the receiving corps as intact as possible is best for Sanchez.

    • avatar Jets babyyy says:

Knowshon is an on a and off player I don’t know how much he would bring to the table. But if he is on the cheap side and for what the Jets need him for then why not its worth a shot.

      • avatar Jets babyyy says:

Looked him up on Youtube check it out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vWG8jpQu528

What is his situation with the Broncos will he be a FA?

Well if he is and we can get him on the cheap he would be a nice 3rd down back like him now lol.

        • avatar Massive says:

He may get released from his deal after the DUI and not playing up to par. I think our O-Line, when at it’s best, can make any RB productive. But Knowshon is a really talented player, and is only 24. I think injuries are what slowed him down in his career, but I like the prospects of a Greene/Moreno backfield. Of course, this is all speculation right now as he’s under contract. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he was released in the upcoming weeks.

          • avatar Lam Jones says:

recent 1st rounder whose avg per carry is good (4.1) and trending higher, 72 receptions and only 8 fumbles in 37 games; someone else will probably outbid us…

  20. avatar Jason says:

Can never say its 100% accurate (and to be honest the 50K bonus makes far more sense from a play level), but the Jets MO for their low level RFAs has been to cut the difference between a 1 year tag and the minimum salary in half and offer that difference as a guaranteed signing bonus. Turner got 300K last year. So it does make sense in that respect.

    • avatar Jason says:

Looking online for clarification and both the AP and Cimini are reporting the 250K bonus. The only difference is that I had just assumed he got the 8210 WO bonus but apparently its 10K.

  21. avatar Damion says:

ok wait Barron isnt a great player because the other safties arent as good? huh? he’s part linebacker and can play SS and FS.

IF the jets feel they can move down a bit and still get him great we can really use an extra 3rd or 4th rd pick.
I like this player and I think he can be a big producer in rex ryan’s D!

I really think we should get John Abraham back in here Rex can use him like he did Jason taylor and I think Abraham would be good for 8-10 sacks.

  22. avatar joeyboy79 says:

On the offensive side, Fasano will be a FA. He can catch and block and has given us and the pats rough times in the past. He is familiar with brass knuckles Tony. I think him and Keller would be solid.

  23. avatar kem pa sote says:

Barron is hurt an is out til august so he will not be a 1 round pick …hernia surgery no football action til august he’s now a second or third round pick..

    • avatar joeyboy79 says:

Yeah, I read that. It would be great if we could nab him later in the draft.I dont know much about that injury though. He is definitely what we need at S if healthy.

  24. avatar Rusty sanchez says:

I would love to have triple threat of receivers like we had with Johnson chrebet and ward also again with chrebet coles and moss

  25. avatar joeyboy79 says:

Wow, all this optimism now. I guess my motivational poem really did it good this time!

  26. avatar Scott pee says:

    Need Amstels, STAT!

Been a bad day with the pee family all celebrating in my face.lol.

  27. avatar Scott pee says:

Tell me there will not be another parade tomorrow.lol.

  28. avatar GreenPanther says:

getting barron in the second round would be an early christmas present

  29. avatar joeyboy79 says:

I really hope we solve our pass rush problem this season. It seems like forever without an every down pass rusher. What a boost to the D that would be. Can you imagine Rex with that at his diposal? Scary.

    • avatar Massive says:

Can you imagine a Revis/Nelson/Barron/Cro secondary along with a bookend pass rush combo like Mercilus/Maybin? I really hope Barron falls to us in the 2nd round now, where I was originally hoping we could get Alshon Jeffery. If we could seriously improve the safety spots and the pass rush, there’s no doubt in my mind that we’ll have the league’s best defense.

I’m already pumped for next season lol

      • avatar joeyboy79 says:

You just gave me a buzzz! With a D like, that if Sanchez can just manage the game with a sound run game and some well timed passes, we will be going on a long ride! Is it September yet?

  30. avatar jetsetradio says:

were either going to take one of two approaches. add pass rushers to get to the qb or strengthen the secondary and get to the qb through design and skeem and hope muhammad wilk kenrick ellis and mayhem improve i think we will go with the latter

    • avatar Massive says:

I think we will do the former. A great pass rush along with our current secondary (plus an upgrade at safety) and Rex/Pettine would be unreal.

    • avatar joeyboy79 says:

Interesting and a good point. Personally, I think the way to go is add a monster pass rusher. It would make even an average secondary very good. With the spread offenses and TE sets, you need constant pressure at the QB. It will be very interesting which route the jets go.

  31. avatar Buckz says:

Marvin McNutt people I hope the Jets draft this dude..

  32. avatar Massive says:

You know, I have a sneaky suspicion that the Pats will be going after Jax, Colston, or Reggie Wayne. Not that it matters with our corners, but that would really suck.

    • avatar joeyboy79 says:

They are also in need of a deep threat. Their main concern is the secondary. They also want a solid RB. The pats have mucho bucks for FA but have many UFAs.

  33. avatar GreenPanther says:

now that barron is dropping to second round and the possibility of getting a good pass rusher, safety and wr in first 3 rounds is making me wish it was april already

  34. avatar Bent says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re currently working on a deal with Aaron Maybin too.

  35. avatar Carlos says:

    Wish list
FA signings – mario williams or Uminyora
RT and safety ( Landry )
Draft – 1st- Trade down couple spots and draft
    Votaze burfic
2nd- M. Sanu or Barron (if he drops to 2nd)
    3rd – OLB/DE
4th – 7th. Draft best player available for depth

    Anybody disagree?

  36. avatar john says:

    Everybody disagrees…..

  37. avatar Carlos says:

Why? It pretty much takes care of all our needs

  38. avatar john says:

Williams and OSI can’t play a full season and would require BIG contracts we can’t afford.
Burfict is nice but not the value needed for a 1st round pick.
AND WORST OF ALL, you did not adress the OLINE!

  39. avatar john says:

MY bad , you did say RT in FA. Again, where are the JETS gonna get all this cap room to do your FA shopping?

    • avatar Brendan says:

Restructure existing deals, release players, etc.

Basically, the way they do it every year when people say they are screwed.

      • avatar john says:

Well they haven’t exactly brought in top of the line FA’s the last couple years and they were in better Cap shape then they are right now.

        • avatar Brendan says:

You can’t bring in top of the line FA’s every year, at least not with a salary cap.

And the reason they didn’t do it last year and the year before is because they had to lock in their elite players who were still playing on incredibly cheap rookie deals.

The ebb and flow of roster management.

        • avatar joeyboy79 says:

Making the cap room is just one aspect and the first step, but building and adding longevity – talent/depth is the other part that we have not been effective at doing. I have read every draft analysis on T since 2006, and he has given up the most picks in the entire NFL and left so much on the table!! Where has it got us, to two appearaces in the afc playoffs and right back to square one now? All these needs just dont show up overnight it is from years of ineffectiveness catching up. He hasnt addressed our weaknesses over the years that were needed to get over the hump, pass rush, speed in the intermediate zone, oline talent and depth, ect. He thinks signing only two top picks in 6 years but forgetting about mid level talent and depth will build a team and be sustainable? Thats why after we shot our load we are starting over again now, smoke and mirrors become quickly exposed. If he had the results I would think different, but he doesnt , except two periods with new coaches who both after flashes(mangeni, rex) fall right back to mediocrity as the lack of a proper staffed team cant be sustained. I am just hoping this season is different and the bulb finally comes on.

          • avatar john says:

Yoou read joeklecko’s posts on GGN???

            • avatar joeyboy79 says:

Yes , that and I also googled every draft by T since 2006 and read them in detail. His drafts despite a couple of top players are only meant to show flashes and give teases , and then fall back to mediocrity, EXACTLY what we have been seeing. He has given up too many picks(most in the nfl, you would think we have team loaded with game changing superstars when you give up that many!), trying for the homerun, and as a result, the team is left with many holes. It is a shame , because he is great at making cap space but he just doesnt capitalize and build a team for longevity and sustained success. As I mentioned, I have read all his drafts in detail and its my opinion that he is not a good GM. He can get close, but without the propper building, will not get over the hump and always fall back to a team that is just mediocre with mass needs like we have now.

              • avatar john says:

Well your argument is sound if one accepts your premise, namely that the Jets are a mediocre team with lots of holes to fill.
I think the Jets have as much talent as any team in the league, their core players are all strong and fairly young, they have some promising development guys and some older guys filling spots until someone better, younger and cheaper gets drafted.
I like Tanny’s approach to the draft, I would rather get three good players that I really like then ten guys who provide depth if they all manage to get through training camp.
I read the GGN series as well and found it to be rather lacking. Anyone can go back over past drafts and say we shoulda done this and that and make any GM look bad. To blame every miss on the GM is as silly as blaming every loss on the QB. A GM is only as good as his scouting dept. and the Jets scouts do a pretty good job IMO. The worst pick of Tanny’s tenure is obviously VG but he has made some very good ones as well, more good than bad…..

          • avatar Brendan says:

Yes, Tanny trades more picks than anyone. You continue to look at talent he “left on the table” (an insane premise to hold when discussing drafts, because EVERY Gm leaves talent on the table EVERY season. There are well over 200 players selected in the draft and teams have anywhere from 4-13 of those picks.

You also complete ignore what exactly those picks brought in. Cromartie and Holmes bring both a higher skill level than a rookie, as well as that longevity (your new buzz word?).

If you think this team is back at “square one” you are kidding yourself. This is not “square one.” This is called “retooling.” It’s something good teams have to do every few years, teams like the Pats, Giants, Steelers, etc., your “model franchises” so to speak.

Newsflash: RT? Not a need until this season. This wasn’t “years of ineffectiveness” this was a single circumstance that we’ve beaten into ground like a meteor.

You cannot reach consecutive conference titles games with “smoke and mirrors.” This isn’t a Vegas magic show. I love how when the Jets play poorly, that’s “who they are,” but when they win it’s “smoke and mirrors.”

            You are Deputy Double-Standard, Joey.

Rex’s “flash” lasted over 700 calendar days, how, pray tell, is that a “flash” as you put it?

I look forward to you essentially reposting your above post in response to my comment and ignoring all my points.

  40. avatar Carlos says:

Yeah but the problem is that everybody wants to
WIN NOW!!! And you cant win now if you try to do
Everything through the draft….. No rookie is gonna
Come in here and play like a solid Vet. It takes time with rooks…. If thats the case you mide as well get rid of most of your veterans, free up alot of money, sraft away this year nd next then cross your fingers and hope to contend in 2 to 4 YEARS!!

  41. avatar john says:

If everyone is concerned about WIN now, then you draft guys who CAN step in and start from Day one. Take DeCastro round 1. Can’t miss, ready to start OG who is an upgrade over Slauson or Moore. Trade away the rest of your picks and take T. Richardson, another can’t miss, ready to play prosepect.
Sign Tyvon Branch for FS spot, resign Poole, Pouha, Westernman, Folk and Maybin.
Spend CRAZY amounts of time coaching up SOMEONE/ANYONE to play RT better then Hunter did. Hope that you find one or two UDFA’s to provide some depth.
The jets have enough young receivers on their roster. Get the guys you got coached up and ready to play. Same thing with the LB’s.
I can’t stand the Pats or BB but you gotta give them credit for getting more out of less. They coach the hell out of guys on the back end of their roster so that when they get in the game they are ready. I haven’t seen that with the Jets.
Remember the first time Leonhard went down before the disaster in NE? I remember reading that Poole was staying late that week to learn the D because leonhard wouldn’t be there. That PISSED me off. He should have already knew the D and all the calls. The coaches let him get away with not knowing it….

    • avatar Jets babyyy says:

I like the part where you said they need to coach the F out of them =).

I didn’t like the part where you said to trade everyone for T Richardson. But I do like DeCastro.

      • avatar john says:

That response is not HOW I would do it, just a response to folks who think we are only in WIN now mode.
I would take the top O’lineman or T-rich if they’re available at 16, if not then I trade down for an extra 3rd rounder and get Levy Adcock for RT. I would look to draft WIlber, Harrison, McClellin, Iloka 2nd to 3rd rounds. I would take Darell Scott RB as well as Nick Foles and AJ Jenkins in the 4th to 6th rounds. Another guy I’d try to get is Akiem Hicks NT project if I’m not sold on Ellis as a NT.

    • avatar joeyboy79 says:

We are not close to win now! We have basically a huge part of our d to rebuild, slow safetys, LBS, pass rush, on offense oline depth, RT,TE WR,RB to compliment Green back up QB, ST – K, P.Combine that with all new coaches, new offense to learn, and will Sanchez be ok mentally from all the beating?

I am just taking it one step at a time and hope the best ofseason that we ever had. I expect 2102 to be gelling, acquiring the piesces, learning the new offense and identity then in 2103 we draw blood!

If we want mediocrity we are not in a total rebuilding mode but if we want a team that is capable to go on a REAL run, we are very close to the rebuild mode.

  42. avatar Johnny Reefer says:

WE ARE NOT STARTING OVER! GET IT THROUGH ALL YOUR HEADS!

WE DO NOT NEED THAT MUCH! OUR D WAS STILL 5th in the NFL.

the only thing we desperately need is a damn RT! I’m sick of everyone thinking we are so untalented. Look at our roster, and look at other teams, we aren’t the freaking Rams or the Jags.

Our entire team but OL and QB is better then the damn Pats.

Our entire team but DL, QB and WR is better then the Giants.

we didn’t lose because of LACK OF TALENT, we lost because we didn’t maximize our talent.

Greene should get 20-25 carries a game EVERY GAME. Not 15-18. Sanchez should throw the ball a max of 30 times a game, not 60. He is a young QB, all the greats now, besides Peyton and maybe Rivers, didn’t become more then game managers until their 4/5 year respectfully. Look it up. Akiman is in the hall of fame for being a great game manager. THEY WIN SUPERBOWLS TOO! Brady’s first 2 he was nothing more then a game manager.

We are built to be a PHYSICAL team, not a finesse offense that Schotty was running. We are built to run, run, play action, and roll outs. Not the Tom Brady 3 steps back, dink and dunk pick up YAC O. Like we ran last year.

We need a ball control O, so our D gets rested. Sure our D gets beat once in awhile, but its the NFL. It happens.

Our O was so inconsitant this year, from playcalling, to the play of the line. We played 1 complete game all year, that was the Chiefs game. Yet, we were still 8-8 with a shot at the playoffs.

STOP WITH THIS DOOM AND GLOOM WE NEED SO MUCH CRAP! WE DON’T!

I beg to differ. We need a lot! Excluding all these needs that we presently have, 2013 we have several overpayed players who will be cut and I agree with that, when you combine that with all our present needs, you basically have to have a flawless offseason. That is the position one puts themselves in with years of crappy drafts and giving away picks. You can call it gloom and doom or anything you want but that is the reality of it.

        • avatar Johnny Reefer says:

          explain, WHAT DO WE NEED?

please, i wanna hear you name the position we truly NEED somebody at.

I keep hearing all the same crap. A safety a pass rusher, WRs, blah blah. We don’t NEED any of it, its just all of YOU wanting a damn FANTASY team.

We have a GREAT player at almost EVERY position. Revis- DBS, Harris-LB Brick and Mangold- Online, Pouhua- DL, Holmes- WRS.

If Greene gets used right, he’d be a stud, trust me, the dude was lights out by the end of the year. You all just don’t see it cause your to caught up in the losses.

          8-8 isn’t a damn remodel team. 2-15 is, 3-13, 4-12, 5-11, 6-10 they are. not 8-8.

Look at it this way. We stop Tebow. 9-7. We tackle Mcfadden 10-6. We don’t throw the ball 60 times verus the giants. 11-5. We don’t muff a punt vs the pats. 12-4. Mangold doesn’t get hurt when we play the Ravens. 13-3.

          • avatar Johnny Reefer says:

5 plays that coulda went either way, does not make us a team that needs to remodel.

You’re all just so caught up in the Media, talking down, you can’t see the truth.

STOP S**KIN THE MEDIA’S C**K and look at the truth.

              • avatar joeyboy79 says:

Just b/c you abbreviate, it is still disrespectful. I am ashamed of you young man!

                • avatar joeyboy79 says:

I like interacting with you and I have never thrown vulgar or profanity your way no matter how much I disagree with you and I do big time, especially concerning all the needs the jets have. I would appreciate the same. Thank you in advance.

I respect opinions of everyone, but this is not an OPINION. THIS IS A FACT!

You’ll all speaking like its a FACT we have a crap team. BUT IT IS NOT!

You guys need to really stop thinking with your feelings and use your brains.

This team has tons of talent on both sides of the field. NOT EVERYONE CAN BE A PROBOWLER OR AN ALL PRO!

                • avatar Johnny Reefer says:

that wasn’t just to you. ITS TO EVERYONE!

seriously, you all need to stop harping on the damn negitive things, and actually LOOK at the season from a real prespective.

Not the bias look you all give because your all little girls and are crying cuz we missed the playoffs

                  • avatar joeyboy79 says:

                    So you disrespect everyone?

                    • avatar Johnny Reefer says:

like i dont get disrespected EVERY DAY for being positive.

                    • avatar Johnny Reefer says:

Its ok tho. just like Brendan, us positive ones, we are the bad guys!

Disrespected by all every day, yet we don’t say a word. I finally act like the rest of you, and i’m such a bad guy.

                    • avatar Brendan says:

                      Still waiting.

                    • avatar Johnny Reefer says:

                      lol me too man.

                    • avatar Johnny Reefer says:

idk how much more facts i could of put out then i did there.

I named our Great players, I named the big plays that hurt us. I even got technical and broke down how the offense was run wrong. I pointed out teams with rosters 100xs worst then ours. I explained that 8-8 is middle of the pack not suppar. I even whipped out my best psychiatrist act, and explained they are viewing the team more with feelings then actual brains (which is normal for the first few weeks, but not now)

I really don’t know what else to do but be a jerk to ya’ll
